After yet another year of uncertainty in the property market I hear the exasperated tone in people’s voices as we ask when will normality resume? Is it perhaps the case, however, that this somewhat tumultuous and unpredictable cycle is the new norm? With what seems to be an ever increasing amount of global unrest and political instability, is this what we now need to assume as our new market condition?
Who knows, braver people than myself can predict what lies ahead, but what does seem certain is that for companies such as Opus, who sit squarely in the growth phase of expansion and acquisition we should, and will, remain open to all new opportunities that present themselves. We look forward to, in this next cycle, making the most of acquiring new property ventures and hopefully paying out lots of agency fees to those that help us achieve that goal!
We see now as the time to capitalise on new opportunities arising from many corporate investor’s aversion to risk, planning punts and development schemes where we can employ the team’s expertise to de-risk and deliver schemes into the future.
